    Hi Jonathan,
    I just read your GQ article and I went thru the whole IVF thing with my wife. You hit the nail on the head. Sex became a chore and it was anything but fun and enjoyable. Financially, it killed us. Between office visits, medicines, acupuncture sessions, etc, we maxed out 3 Credit Cards. Emotionally, it was the hardest thing to endure.

    But I have some good news, I’m watching my 21 month take a nap, hugging Elmo in her crib and when I look at her, it was all worth it.

    By the way, if you think sex was bad or lacking during IVF, it hardly exists with a toddler. And when my little princess can formulate a sentence and it goes something like this, “daddy, I want a brother or sister to play with.” I will buy her a pet cockateil instead.
